Spelunky's Derek Yu : A Game Developer

I recommend any of you interested in putting your thoughts to game design to check out Derek Yu's blog.
He brings up a lot of interesting things such as: who to make your game for, player feedback, some rules to make the final dash of development, and some insight into the process of creating something innovative unintentionally.

He seems to be a cool guy, with some good words, and good games.
Also if you haven't played any of his games yet: Get Spelunky... NOW!

On a side note here's a catchy tune made by Jim Guthrie

We are The Lilies

And now for a musical interlude. New and Old come together to produce some pretty cool stuff.
Just give it a listen, it's worth the time.

The Lilies feat. Iggy Pop - Why?.

And if you enjoyed that, check out the little documentary they made about the collaboration, it's pretty fun to watch other media going at the process of creation ---> http://vimeo.com/19321697

4 Colour Process: A dedicated website to limited uncontrollable comic book art.

"... The classic comic book frame is an overstuffed box of visual information that is the functional opposite of disciplined sequential art. It doesn't compel us onward to the next frame; it invites us to sit down and stay a while. The point where narrative essence gives way to supporting information is hard to define, but terming the latter “detail” understates its consequence in the visual encounter with comic books.

In the mid-20th century comic book, millions of details undermined sequential art time by making readerly time infinitely variable. Details – along with the color process – provided textures, way stations, and destinations for the eye. Choose your own adventure. Find your personal fetishes in the nooks and crannies. ..." ~ John Hilgart

Gyakushu!

This is a pretty epic comic I found, which has now been posted to read online for free in this month of October. It follows the thief as he steals something, pays the price for it, and then goes on his journey of REVENGE!!!!
Check it out: Gyakushu!

It has incredibly well-paced action as well as some pretty tricky story telling methods, I don't want to spoil too much, so here's some picture of the action:
