October Challenge

Starting today until the last day of October, (Halloween) I am going to design a monster every day. There will be a vote at the end and the winning monster will become a fully-rendered Photoshop image. Come on, who hasn't had a thing for pokémon at some point in time?

I once had this amazingly ambitious idea of drawing all of the first 150 pokémon (with a few exceptions, mainly plants) realistically, but I doubt I'll ever get around to it. Nonetheless, it's great fun giving it a try every now and then. Sure this is a gen 5 poké, but it's the idea that counts.

Still a work in progress (as is hopefully obvious).

If anyone needs help with a critter they're trying to design by the way, I'd be more than happy to help. My knowledge of human anatomy is lacking a lot still, but I know a fair bit of animal anatomy.

Oh also, I'm Ilse :). Just to clarify!

Swooshy Day!

As student initiative I am planning a swooshy day for coming tuesday. The entire day with exceptions of the lessons (11:30-15:00) I want to have groups in the LAB making swooshies for art class. This will probably be pretty big and many people seem to have problems with making those swoosh drawings.

So I am looking for more people who can help set this up and help fellow students within those hours to get better.

The idea is that everyone there poses for 1-2 minutes and people can drop in and drop out between 10.00 -11:30    15:00 - 18.00

Of course paper, drawing equipment and the mentallity to actually do stuff us up to the participants.  Any one up for this Idea?

AAAAaaaaggghhh!

So, I finished my essays pretty late last night. I followed the explanation for the Heroes Essay, however when looking through the "Thinking of Art" section on USAT1011 for info on the second essay I didn't find anything.

This morning I go looking for Dimme's email address and stumble upon the details for "Thinking of Art, Opdracht 2". I'm annoyed because the details are different from what he said in class, and secondly confused as to how I missed it the first time. I start looking into it further, and as it turns out, you can't see the info for it in the TOA section, the ART section, or the Lesmaterial Section. The only place it can be found is if you go to the homepage and then click for the next page. (http://usat1011.hku.nl/?paged=2)

Did anyone else not see this? Or am I the only one who got screwed over by it?

Guys (and girls)!

For some odd reason, there has been a change in our timetables. You should check the USAT1011 website, Wendy posted the revised timetables over there. Now, there are a couple of weird things in them. First and foremost, why are all our Art History lessons gone? Instead of putting the 'forgotten' one somewhere next week, they just erased all of them from the timetables. Second, why does G2 has two Tutor Hours in week 4, and why are they the only class to have them? It makes no sense whatsover. Apart from that, I'm not sure what has change.

Can anyone explain all these absurd changes? Can you? CAN YOU?

So, are you guys all done with your homework for this week? I have to say, I didn't really thought I was going to be able to finish all of it, but now that I'm done I guess it wasn't so much after all.

I am going to spend this day working on my website, I have a couple of pages done now, but I still have to make important and essential ones like 'Toelating' and 'HKU-werk'.

Has anyone received their login and password for both the ftp-server and webmail yet? I got it last Wednesday. The ftp-server works wonderfully, at least for now, but I'm not sure if anyone can actually see my website now. I'll just stand by and wait for some explanation about that, most likely in the upcoming Webscripting hour.

Portfolio 2 WIP

So, just trying to figure out how to adapt my website to fit all the stuff in that they want. I already had this design for a bottom tab bar that opens upward from portfolio 1, I'd like to carry it over. Also trying to make my homepage look designed even though there's nothing going on with the tab bar yet for the 'graphische ontwerp' class. Not really sure how my website reflects me yet; organised? Any comments would be helpful.

Over persona's de powerpoint is in pdf gepost op usat1011. Voor degene die het even terug willen zien. 3 persona's moeten gemaakt worden. Waaronder docenten, medestudenten en een persona naar keuze. Deze moet uiteindelijk op je website geplaatst worden.

Een verslag over je huidige 3 helden. Waarvoor je voor 19 september een link van de pdf naar de docent moet sturen. (Alles wat je moet weten staat op het A4tje dat je in de les gekregen heb.)
